Q&A with Chef Carrie Baird

1. Tell us your favorite item on the Tap & Burger menu
Such a hard question! The turkey dip. Roasted turkey sliced thin, swiss cheese, arugula coleslaw, garlic aioli on a hoagie served with au jus for dippin- it’s SO good. I’m a sucker for anything dippins.
2. What do you love about being the Culinary Director for Tap & Burger?
I love that I get to work in 4 different kitchens. Each has its own chef, so every store has a different vibe. I love all of my chefs and cooks, they all impress me every single day.
3. Smash Burger or BBQ Bacon Burger with an onion ring?
What! I mean, the smash burger because it’s thin, juicy, and crispy. The BBQ bacon is indulgent and over the top, kind of like a special occasion burger. The smash, you can eat every day.
4. Tell us one thing about you that no ones knows!
HA! This is much harder than you’d think, I’m kind of an open book! My favorite -non sport- hobbies are gardening and being a chicken mom. I love my chickens!
5. What’s your favorite beer?
I’m an IPA gal. Hoppy and bitter please. Anything from Outer Range or WestBound and Down.
